How do I prepare my students for STEM jobs? My students are interested in technology, engineering, and other fields. Can you suggest ways to prepare them for these jobs?

That is an excellent question.   There is definitely strong demand for STEM jobs, but we also need to prepare students for what we refer to as digitalization.  Our rapidly changing digital world requires new skills, including new ways to interact with other people (soft skills).  Here are some resources to get you started:

Library Webinar 4 21st Century Job Skills  This is a webinar recorded April 3, 2018

Explore NCLab’s 3D Modeling App by Building a Hollowed Cube  A demonstration of NCLab’s 3D Modeling App which you can use to introduce Computer Aided Drawing

Webinar 4 Get Ready for 21st Century Jobs This is a PDF of the slide show in the webinar, which you can use for trainings or instruction.

The Engineering Design Process Client-Designer Role Play Exercise  Lesson Plans and a Participant Handout for this valuable roleplaying exercise.

Couple this with NCLab’s 3D Modeling course to prepare your students for Computer Aided Design and more.
